Christmas Wreaths and Garland That Match the Roofline

Four wreaths, four gables, one color

This white two-story has a wreath centered on each of the four main peaks. The wreaths are commercial-grade, pre-lit in the same warm white as the C9s on every gable of the house and the garage to the right. A matching border run follows the front beds and the walk to the porch.

That is why we hang wreaths and garland instead of leaving a roof as a bare outline. The greenery is the Christmas part. The lights are the structure.

Wreaths, sized to the house

A 24-inch door wreath disappears on a gable this tall. We hang larger, commercial-grade wreaths on peaks, above garages, and on entries, mounted for Northeast Ohio wind, not hooked on a nail that pulls out in January.

The four wreaths in this photo work because they are identical, centered, and scaled to the peaks. Random sizes would look like leftover decorations.

Garland at the door

Lit garland on railings, columns, and brick entries is the close-up version of the same idea. Guests see it when they reach the porch. We secure it so it stays full and straight through lake-effect wind.

Color-matched to the roof

We do not hang cool-white wreaths on a warm-white roof. Greenery lighting is specified to the same C9 family as the roofline package, so the whole facade reads as one display, the way this house does.

Take-down is included. Storage for next season is optional.
